THE HOME DEPOT: Promotional Advertising Redesign
The Home Depot senior management felt that the current look of promotional advertising had run its course and needed a new bold and impactful look.
Promotional Advertising (Before)
Taking the idea of bold and impactful, the first place that I started was with the font. I decided to add emphasis to the value of the promo by making bolder and increased it by 40%, while decreasing the size of the secondary copy. The orange slate texture in the background seemed to help add even more emphasis, so I added it with a weathered edge that added more of a gritty look. The font change and shifted angle of the type added more room for either silhouette or full bleed imagery.
