San Juan Island Insider: App Redesign

The San Juan Island Insider is a customized mobile app for San Juan County, Washington that drives visitor engagement and commerce by rewarding users for visiting places on the four main islands in San Juan County — Lopez, Orcas, San Juan and Shaw. Launched in the summer of 2016 by the San Juan Chamber of Commerce and 468 Communications, it was created to provide visitors with information about points of interest usually limited or unavailable, via a mobile device. 

After my initial use, I thought the user experience was a bit complex and counterintuitive. Using my own framework process, I wanted to give it a cleaner look, simplify the usability and enhance the overall experience by making it more personal and engaging. This is my own personal project that I completed in three weeks, start to finish.
